Loneliness is at epidemic levels in the world today. I have been surprised to find this is true for those living in freedom and for those behind bars. I am a lonely guy seeking to develop friendships with other lonely people.

There are a couple of things you should know about me before writing. First off, I am serving a life sentence. I know this will deter some, but I hope some will give me a chance. Secondly, I do not want anything from you except for friendship. I will never ask you to do anything for me or to send me anything. Finally, you should know that I am a Christian.

I am not the judgmental type, nor am I opposed to writing people different than me. If you are still reading, I would share that I am an optimistic person who believes in making the most out of every situation. Some people do not believe me when I share that my job assignment is encouraging and giving hope to the men on my unit. I feel blessed to have been given such a chance.

In my spare time I enjoy drawing and writing. I specialize in animals and portraits. I write personal essays and poetry. I will close by asking you not to judge a book by its cover. If you give me a chance, you might be surprised by what you find. Thanks for reading this.
