I'm sitting here writing these words hoping I can become a better person by letting new people into my life.  Are you someone who can be open-minded and understanding and who might be interested in writing? Can we talk, listen to each other, laugh at stories, grow as friends and hopefully smile from time to time?

Though I'll be honest, after so many years here smiling doesn't always come easy for me. I've been on this journey long enough to know that building friendships from scratch can be difficult, but I believe they are worth it. When these walls start to suffocate it'd be nice to have someone to talk to and who can give me a sign that I was in their thoughts. There is only so much isolation anyone can take before they begin to question themself. I consider myself a strong person, but painting, reading, staring at the walls and pacing the floors of this hamster cage can only provide so much distraction.
